ZION GLOBAL JOINS HAMILTON COUNTY PROJECT LIFT COLLABORATIVE

Cincinnati ranks as one of the top 5 cities in the U.S. with a high rate of child poverty. The main reason for this is that parents are poor! Low wages, no full time employment, high market rate rental prices and unreliable transportation are just some of the challenges that low income households are facing.

​To address these chronic issues, ZGMissions has joined forces with 24 nonprofit and public sector organizations to provide financial resources, legal consultation, and fast track enrollment with existing services in order to break the poverty cycle and fill the income gap. All clients must be employed, have at least one child under 18 in the household and commit to working on 2-3 personal and employment-related goals, such as finding better employment, developing a realistic household budget or assisting with finding affordable housing. Since joining this collaborative, ZGMissions has enrolled 35 households with 73 children and 9 adults. This is truly the launch of a lift out of poverty!!
